Last evening, I had a great Google Hangout with Nick Provenzano and Brett Clark.  As documented in the picture,
despite my best efforts to keep everyone on task, I quickly lost control.  We had an open discussion about their ideas  and what would be the best session/workshops for the conference.  It was amazing!  Nick and Brett are going to tag team two  Google Apps 90 minute sessions.  The sessions will be roll up the sleeves hands-on type workshops.  The attendees will need to create a  Google Account before the conference begins so that the workshop time will be maximized with the learning of how Google Apps can/will transform your classroom.
Nick is creating/refining an Evernote  (be sure the create an Evernote account) session. He is on the forefront in
education in the use of Evernote in the classroom.  His book: The Complete Guide to Evernote in Education
#Evernote
outlines the many great uses of Evernote.  Additionally, he is creating a session/workshop for three web tools that he uses extensively in his high school English classroom: Wordle, KidBlog and StoryBird.  He is going to demonstrate how these tools can help transform classrooms and ignite enthusiasm in students and teachers.

Brett came up with a great idea.  He is going to develop  a “Hang Ten” web tool session.  Attendees will be introduced to  ten different web tools and at the end of the session, the attendees will be polled. Attendees will pick the four web tools that they want to learn more about and he will then construct a workshop for the following day.  He will guide the attendees as they dig deeper with the “chosen” tools.  Another session that Brett is working on is an overview of Flipped Classrooms, Project Based Learning and Inquiry Based Learning and the role that technology plays in each one of them.

Nick and Brett bring big time energy and attendees will leave their sessions with ideas and a bounce in their step.

 Take care.
